Real-World Benefits
With a 5kW nominal heat output, the CPV5 range is ideal for standard-sized living spaces, delivering comfortable, controllable warmth without overpowering the room. In many homes, this output allows installation without the need for additional ventilation, subject to a property assessment.
The standout feature is the oversized glass viewing window, offering a wide, clear view of the flames. An extremely powerful airwash system helps keep the glass cleaner for longer, reducing maintenance while maintaining an impressive flame picture.
The CPV5W model retains the same 5kW nominal output but offers a wider firebox and broader operating range, making it particularly suitable for larger rooms or open-plan spaces where a wider flame display is preferred.
Full multi-fuel capability is included as standard, allowing the stove to burn wood or approved smokeless fuels without the need for additional kits or adaptors.
Installation & Compliance Guidance
Both the CPV5 and CPV5W are DEFRA-approved, allowing wood burning in smoke control areas, and are fully EcoDesign compliant, meeting current UK emissions and efficiency standards.
Installation-friendly features include:
-
Adjustable base feet for accurate levelling
-
Twin firebox construction with integrated heat shield to help reduce clearances to combustibles
-
Optional external air kit, allowing direct connection to outside air. In some modern properties, this may reduce or remove the need for fixed internal ventilation, subject to assessment and Building Regulations
As with all solid fuel appliances, installation should be carried out by a qualified professional. Our team at Barton Fireplace Centre is happy to advise on suitability, clearances, and flue configuration before purchase.
